Mosaics & Pottery ItemsThe Wimborne Design logo is "Maggie" a three colour monoprint of a favourite chicken - Maggie the cuckoo maran. Her image appears on the full range of items and can also be purchased as a signed, framed print.
Joanna has studied mosaics and has taken commissions for several years and used images of these mosaics to illustrate cards. Inspiration is taken from the natural world with plants and animals forming the majority of her work. A recent commission was the leaping hare shown below which is also available as a card.
Her latest work is a larger than life Lobster sitting on a black & white chequerboard background measuring nearly 3 feet in length. material used include venetian smalti, gold smalti, millefiori, vitreous glass and marble.
Small pottery items are sometimes available and can be made to order such as delft tiles, decorative glazed hearts and terracotta plant labels.
